I posted a proposal for an updated L2 stake migration design [here](https://forum.livepeer.org/t/lip-73-l2-stake-migration/1532/7) based on the feedback in this thread. I opted to post the proposal in the LIP-73 thread since its already dedicated to L2 stake migration designs and since the original post in this thread was more focused on discussion around general scaling strategies for the protocol.
