# If the transcoder shuts down, can I withdraw the tokens I have connected?

hello I have a question.  
If the transcoder shuts down, can I withdraw the tokens I have connected?  
Is there a risk of losing tokens?

As long as you have the private keys for the transcoder, there is no risk of losing token. You can always unbond and withdraw them later, even if the transcoder process itself is shut down.
