[ETHBerlin](http://www.ethberlin.com) is a hackathon taking place in Berlin from 7-9 September. Every day, new [Livepeer Tokens (LPT)](https://etherscan.io/token/0x58b6a8a3302369daec383334672404ee733ab239) are generated by the network, to reward active nodes. These new [LPT](https://etherscan.io/token/0x58b6a8a3302369daec383334672404ee733ab239) are shared between all the active nodes in the network, proportional to the amount of tokens each active node has bonded to it. # What is Livepeer? Livepeer is a project to create a decentralized system for livestreaming video, based on a delegated-proof-of-stake protocol running on Ethereum’s blockchain. The system is made up of a distributed set of nodes running Livepeer’s transcoding software. Exciting news… as of round 1053, the ETHBerlin node is an active transcoder in Livepeer’s network! @mattnumber very possibly… it is one of the active Transcoders running the protocol, and is available to transcode any broadcast on Livepeer, and earn fees and rewards for ETHBerlin. As for broadcasting from the event, we will be using 3 nodes running on Ethereum’s Rinkeby testnet (in the spirit of a hackathon), and they will be viewable as embedded streams at [http://ethberlin.com/livestream](http://ethberlin.com/livestream). ---

Sadly, this Node is no longer active in the top 15, and has been retired from service. If your stake is bonded to this node, I encourage you to bond to another node.
