# Why you should bond your new Livepeer Tokens (LPT) (SIMPLE VERSION)

So, let’s get started:

`IF`

> _you bond your LPT to a Livepeer Transcoder node today_

`THEN`

> _the Transcoder node will receive reward for participating_ (in LPT)

`AND`

> _ **you will receive a share of the reward the Transcoder node receives** _ (in LPT)

`AND`

> _ **you will receive a share of the fees that the Transcoding node earns** _ (in ETH)

`ELSE IF`

> _you wait until tomorrow before you bond_

`THEN`

> _the value of your LPT stake will get diluted, due to the new LPT minted today by the inflationary mechanism designed into the protocol_
