How to Enable Web3 in your Browser

There are many Ethereum browser or extension options, such as Metamask, Mist, Parity, Toshi, or another extension.

IMPORTANT: Livepeer will not be asking you to send money, ETH, BTC, or any form of digital currency in order to register for participation. There is no initial coin offering. If someone asks you to send them currency in order to participate in Livepeer, please report this to fraud@livepeer.org.
It’s up to you to select which of the extensions you’d like to use. We included Metamask below as an example:

  1. Get extension: https://metamask.io/. Click get chrome extension, and add the extension to your browser.

  1. Now Metamask is downloaded. Open the Metamask extension in top right of chrome, and accept terms

  1. Create a vault. When creating an account, you’ll be prompted to create a strong password

  1. Store the seed phrase somewhere safe

To transact with this account you will need to send Ethereum to this wallet address

  1. Grab your wallet address - this is specific to this metamask account

  2. Open what ever wallet you have Eth stored in (eg, coinbase, Circle, any trading platform, your ledger) and send eth to your copied address
