Network Engineering SPE — Update #2 (June 2026)
Period: 1 June 2026 – 26 June 2026
Status: On track
Summary: All three funding lanes ran live this month — the first Direct Grant was awarded, the first RFP delivered Milestones 1 & 2, two retroactive grant applications were received, and new builder bounties opened.
Completed Deliverables
- Direct Grant #1 — Livepeer Payment Clearinghouse (John Mull / Elite Code Solutions) — awarded
- First Direct Grant to run the lane end-to-end: a provider-agnostic clearinghouse suite extending the go-livepeer remote signer webhook contract. Champion gate met, AI rubric pre-screen returned Strong, Review Team approved $15k USD-equivalent in LPT, milestones confirmed, weekly build updates running.
- Application
- Champion + AI pre-screen
- Award decision
- Milestones confirmed + week-1 build recap
- RFP #1 — Delegator UX Analysis (RaidGuild) — Milestones 1 & 2 delivered
- Milestone 1 (research plan, benchmark set, comparison dimensions) and Milestone 2 (competitive teardown — Figma journey breakdowns + comparison matrix) both signed off.
- Update #1 — Milestone 1
- Update #2 — Milestone 2
- Retroactive Grants — two applications received, under review
- Livepeer Workflow Kit (Shane) — A Roadmap Session on 27 May scoped agentic workflows on Livepeer. Shane then presented across the June Water Coolers (2, 9, 16, 23 June); on 16 June he gave a live demo of his Agentic Workflow Runtime (built on RoboFlow for flow authoring) that captured the Water Cooler call itself — streaming a browser tab, transcribing the audio via an NVIDIA NeMo runner with speaker diarization and analysing the video via Florence-2, all GPU work routed through Livepeer orchestrators. He shipped two new open-source runners (audio diarized transcription, Florence-2 vision), then filed the application.
- Livepeer Discord Protocol Data Bot & Public Protocol Data API (Mike Zupper / Cloud SPE) — Mike presented at the 9 June Water Cooler and demoed a production stack: a Rust + Postgres Protocol API indexing every Livepeer event on Arbitrum with block-precise USD pricing, plus a Discord Network/Payout bot. He deployed it live and tested it with orchestrators and delegators — the bot DMs subscribers whenever an orchestrator changes its reward cut — and pushed it in Delegating and #general for orchestrators to subscribe and give feedback, gathering support in the bot channel.
- New builder bounties opened — three different builders activated
- Four bounties posted to the board; Builder ideas & bounties board
- Retroactive Opportunities channel (Discord)
