I find fees not so important at current moment, as I’m seeing quite few tasks, even though I have never been capped and have been running at very low prices for two weeks and so no payments yet.
On the next transaction I’ll update them to 95% share ( 5% cut, to cover tx costs ) so that the first payments that I eventually win go to the stakers.
Hi, I’m a noob to the livepeer community and tried to do a test stake with you of 5 LPT, just to make sure I’m doing it right. I have another 73 LPT that I was going to stake as well, until my Metamask wallet said the 5 LPT( worth about $70 at current prices) transfer would cost me $31 in gas fees. Is that really the case? I knew that gas fees have been high, but that’s ridiculous! How can any of the ERC-20 tokens function with TX costs so high? I have the same problem with staking my Polygon. Any insight would be much appreciated!
In fact it’s not a transfer, but a smart contract function that is not cheap and is not recommended for such small quantities as 5 LPT.
You can of course repeat the transaction attempt with all the 78 LPTs and compare the fees - they should be similar and more reasonable compared to the new amount.
Not that I’m blaming it, it’s totally my fault, but for some reason “Orchestrator-Watcher bot” in telegram did not send notifications for a couple of days, and I totally missed to check the alarms from my monitoring.
Taking immediate measures that it does not repeat again!
And yes - my first transcoding reward from a winning ticket received, finally. Since a couple of weeks I receive a constant flow of tasks and I’m planning to add more transcoders very soon ( GPUs already ordered )
As an apology to my delegates for the missed rounds I’m lowering the fee cut from 95 to 0% for the next two winning tickets.
Congrats on your first two winning tickets! Was about time
And sorry for the bot issues, geth crashed due to running out of disk space. So I’ve decided to setup a new server which took a week… Should have notified people about this.
At the gas prices from the last week and ETH/LPT, reward cut has become a negative transaction, so I’m raising the reward cut to a fair 20% till the network calms down or the currency ratio changes, as I don’t want to miss any rounds.
Keeping the fee cut to a 50% which looks like the normal for transcoders looking to keep up with the competition.
Hello there
Can somebody please guide me on the current state of the LPT, please?
Do I need a staking individual to claim anything?
Why does the lock to unstake exist?
