Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since my last post and a lot has changed with Pon-node. Here are a couple of things on my mind:

Pon-node has been operational for one year now! It seems like only a couple of months since I first found Livepeer. Our website address has changed to www.pon-node.net and our new logo has gone through multiple changes, but we have gone back to the original design with a twist:

Yes, it’s still grumpy, and it will never change! We have set up multiple nodes across the globe, including London, Germany, Los Angeles, Singapore, and New York. We have plenty of capacity and are ready to scale up if we need to!

I want to say thanks to all our delegators for helping Pon to grow, and we will keep on growing!

Pon-node has recently embraced solar energy, thereby presenting @papa_bear with a commendable level of competition. In a commendable effort to contribute to environmental preservation!

We are thrilled to announce the successful creation of an automated bond transfer script, designed to enhance stake protection by seamlessly transferring LPT (Livepeer Token) from the main O’s wallet to a secure hardware wallet. This remarkable accomplishment would not have been possible without the invaluable assistance of @stronk , whose contributions played a pivotal role in bringing this script to fruition.

In recent days, we’ve rolled up our sleeves and embarked on the task of revitalizing our infrastructure. I’m delighted to report that our efforts have borne fruit, with our new AI rig now operational. It’s with great pride that I announce pon-node.eth’s active participation in subnet testing, a testament to our team’s dedication and forward-thinking approach.

But that’s not all—here’s something to raise a smile: some GPU temperatures on full load are positively chilly!

Furthermore, I’m excited to share that pon-node.eth will be reducing its ETH fee cut to 0%. It’s a small gesture, but one that reflects our dedication to fostering a fair and accessible ecosystem and our delegators.

Looking ahead, our focus now shifts to optimizing and upgrading our transcoding machines across the globe. The choice of GPUs will include the latest 40 series GPUs or the 4000 series ADA, ensuring we remain at the forefront of efficiency and performance.

Together, let’s embrace this moment of progress and continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Hey everyone! It’s been a while, but I’m back with some major updates. I’ve been focused on scaling up my GPU power to get ahead of the growing AI demand on Livepeer.

Daydream nodes have been upgraded and are now operating with some serious hardware:

• A machine with 2x NVIDIA 4090s

  

• Another beast with 4x NVIDIA 5090s

  

For the Livepeer AI network, I’ve got an NVIDIA A100 and an NVIDIA 4090 D, providing a massive 88GB of VRAM for your AI workloads!

And because this is a decentralized network, my AI GPUs are hosted locally. To help manage the power consumption, I’ve also upgraded my solar PV and battery storage. This ensures great performance while staying committed to a sustainable setup.

Hey everyone,

Been building livewatcher.xyz — free monitoring for Livepeer delegators and orchestrators. No signup, no wallet connect. Paste an address, pick what you care about, get pinged on Telegram, Discord or email: cut changes, missed rewards, round earnings, treasury votes, digests.

Orchestrators: it watches your throwaway wallet too. Runs out of ETH, redemptions stop, nothing shouts at you — you keep transcoding for free until you happen to look.

The bot runs on my own GPU

The assistant behind it is a self-hosted vLLM (Qwen3-Coder-30B), wired straight into my own Livepeer indexer with ~60 tools. No OpenAI key, no rate limit, nothing leaving my box. Ask it things in plain English:

how much ETH did this gateway pay out last week and to who

And you can define your own alerts by just describing them. There’s a small rule engine underneath — thresholds, changes, digests and events over metrics like reward cut, fee cut, total stake, pending rewards, treasury balance or winning tickets. So:

tell me when pepe-node.eth reward cut goes above 20%

ping me every time my orchestrator gets a winning ticket

weekly digest of my pending rewards

becomes a real alert rule. No forms, no settings menu.

And then there’s the street

This started as a joke and I couldn’t stop. It’s a dashboard pretending to be a retro side scroller — you’re a pixel guy walking around a city, and the city is the network.

Buildings are orchestrators, sized by stake, on four streets from Whale Boulevard down to Shrimp Alley. Yellow cabs are winning tickets: a cab pulls up to the gateway that paid, then drives across town and delivers to the orchestrator that earned it. Aliens carry LPT bags — green walking in is a bond, red walking out of town is an unbond, and a flashing one is a wallet delegating for the very first time.

That last one is my favourite thing in the project.

Every door opens. Walk into an orchestrator and its stats are posters on the wall. The treasury is a building with a coin vault and every LIP readable inside it. There’s an oracle standing at the junction — same AI, in game.
